Background: Patient experiences are increasingly recognized as an important component of healthcare quality, alongside traditional clinical outcome measures. They provide insight into how care is perceived by patients and may offer guidance for further improvement of patient�centred care. In the context of the recent merger within Frisius Medical Center, this provides relevant information for the improvement and harmonization of care. Objective: The aim of this study was to assess and compare the experiences of patients with gynaecological cancer care within Frisius Medical Center between the Leeuwarden and Heerenveen locations. Methods: This quantitative, cross-sectional study used the PREM Oncology & Network Care questionnaire from the NFK. Patients with gynaecological cancer who had been treated within Frisius MC between 1 January 2023 and 31 December 2025 were eligible for participation. Data collection took place in early 2026. In total, 105 fully completed questionnaires were analysed, including 33 from Frisius MC Heerenveen and 72 from Frisius MC Leeuwarden. Results: Overall care experience was rated positively at both locations, with a mean composite score of 86.36 (SD 19.62) in Heerenveen and 88.78 (SD 18.70) in Leeuwarden. No statistically significant differences were found for most domains. However, differences were observed on several specific aspects, particularly regarding emotional support, person-centred decision-making, transitions between hospitals, and follow-up care. Conclusion: The perceived quality of gynaecological oncology care within Frisius Medical Center was broadly positive and largely comparable between both locations.
