Abstract

Purpose: To examine the daily moderate-to-vigorous physical activity contribution of organized youth sports, physical education ( Methods: 115 children (54 boys, 61 girls), ages 6 to 11 yr, from grad primary schools in northern Netherlands participated. P A wa Results: ninety-two children (8.43 ± 0.93 yr; 43 boys, 49 girls) met time spent in daily MVPA (49.1 ± 17.2 min) was significantly guideline of 60 minutes, which was achieved by 23.9% (15.2% children. Boys engaged significantly more minutes in MVP A o youth sports, PE and recess tot total daily MVPA was 39.0%, Significantly more time was spent in MVPA on days with organ compared to days without sports (48.4 min) and on days with The study emphasizes the need for promoting daily MVP A in p during organized youth sports, PE and recess.
