The response rate was 59 %. The mean age was 45,2 years, the mean parity 2,1 children and the mean sounding length of the uterine cavity was 5,8 cm. 88 % of the patients was satisfied and 93 % has been satisfied at one point. Amenorrhoea was achieved in 51,2 % of the patients immediately after treatment and in 66 % a year after treatment. Side effects have been reported by 11,2 % of the women and mostly are pain after treatment. Conclusion: The Novasure is a treatment with high rates of satisfaction in 88% of the patients and amenorrhoea 1 year after treatment of 66 %. This is comparable to the results known in literature.
